Overseas media have linked McCullum, the head coach of Indian Premier League side the Kolkata Knight Riders, to a white-ball coaching position with England.

England’s new managing director of men’s cricket, Rob Key, has decided to split the head coach role, with the England Cricket Board (ECB) advertising separate red and white ball coaches, according to a report from England’s Mirror.

And in a report from England’s Daily Mail, McCullum has been added to ECB’s watchlist.
